6 of us had lunch here on a rainy weekday afternoon.
Most of the menu items have a large and small option(priced accordingly) which I wish more restaurants would offer. Even the small portions were generous.
The complimentary Italian bread was fresh and delicious.
The pasta was cooked just beyond al dente but not mushy, a must for any worthwhile Italian restaurant. It didn't taste freshly made, but if you're going to use dry, cook it properly which they did.
The marinara sauce wasn't outstanding, but perfectly passable.
The waitress was very distracted despite it not being busy. Maybe just having a bad day, but the service wasn't appreciated by any of us.
The one seafood dish that was ordered (broiled scrod gardiner) could have been a winner, but it was literally swimming in a half inch of cooking oil. A teaspoon or so to prevent drying would have worked, but this was complete overkill and ruined the dish.
