I'm still trying to figure out how we have passed this place hundreds of times and never stopped in. It's definitely our loss! Ichiban is tucked in at a strip mall and not easily noticed. It is very clean; service was prompt and friendly. We deliberately ordered extra food so that we could bring some home for lunch the next day. We began with crab ragoon - there were 6 that were served with duck sauce and were very good. The soup of the day came in a fairly large bowl and had a multitude of vegetables, meat and, shrimp. We found it to be a little too peppery for our palates, but it still had a nice flavor and was enjoyable. Half of it came home with us. Next came ginger chicken with green beans, and pork noodles. Hubby had wanted shrimp with dark lobster sauce but they only have the white, so he went for the shrimp egg foo yung. We shared everything and came home with FOUR boxes, one of which was for two bowls of white rice that was included with the meals. Two cokes and a pot of tea, and the bill was LESS than $35!!!. Everything was well prepared, plentiful, and delicious. We have enough food for TWO more lunches!! While there, we noticed that they do a huge take-out business. The menu is extensive, and sushi lovers will think they died and went to heaven. I am still in shock that we have missed a great place that is inexpensive for so long. We definitely will be one of their new happy patrons.
