Second time here to give it another chance. Still not good, food is average, actually I had the fish tacos and can't figure out what the shell was? It's a slap dash kind of spot. If you are in a hurry or just leaving the beach to go home, it's fine. Otherwise, skip it. Fried fish galore. If that's your thing.

I found the food to be really good. My girlfriend and I ordered a fisherman's combo, burger plate, small order of oysters, a medium order of clam strips, and two waters. The amount came to $79.18. A bit pricey if you ask me. I was given an option of two sides for the fisherman's combo and was just giving fried and onion rings. Still found the food to be good. The clams and scallops were particularly good and the cocktail sauce had a nice kick to it.

Absolutely the best seafood around. Every time we go we get a fisherman's platter and a side of chicken fingers. Cooked to perfection and never greasy. Whenever the choice for dinner is mine, it's off to Farnham's we go. Beats all other restaurants in Essex!

It's a New England clam shack overlooking the traditional New England marsh with seating inside and out. One Friday for lunch, two grandchildren were out the door and in the car when I mentioned this place - one of their favorites. We ordered the large fried clams (gluten free) as well as the GF onion rings - both to share and a cup of clam chowder for each of us. The chowders were full of clams with potatoes - not a thick broth but nevertheless a sort of creamy broth and tasty. The clams were fresh and perfect as were the heaping thin-sliced onion rings. We ordered at the counter and our food was delivered to us. This restaurant only takes cash - be prepared - but they do have an ATM with a small fee. Also great to see that celebrity chef Guy Fieri has found this place too.

After a beautiful hike in Ravenswood Park enjoying the fall leaf peeping, we stopped at this "joint" along the highway. The location has a beautiful view of the Essex river. Most of us ordered the fried clams with fries and ate every morsel. One of our group is a never pass on a lobster roll when in New England...she was very happy. This is a very busy spot but the service and food are very prompt. Will definitely return we when visit this beautiful New England community.
