Checked in at 1am due to Late arrival asked for late check out was denied rudely. Also notified her about price difference on Expedia and she let me know they weren’t Expedia and wouldn’t go anywhere near their prices . I jut didn’t like or appreciate her tone

Very cozy hotel with excellent staff. Attentive to needs. Spa on site, accommodating to our schedule/wants. Breakfast good, not excellent, but so convenient not to have to drive off property. Fitness center small, no space to do a free weight workout

Was on my way to Vt and was expecting bad weather so decided to spend the night. Called for a reservation and got a very helpful and friendly girl on the phone. I arrived two hrs later , late in the evening and she was just as friendly and check us in. She told us all the amenities they had to offer but we weren't going to be there long enough to enjoy them. The room was very big and very clean. Quiet too! Would return again for sure, the rate was more than fair!

We stayed here for one night in December. We attended a family Christmas dinner at the adjoining Delaney House, a fabulous restaurant. Our room was a suite (at an excellent price!) and had every amenity you could think of! The sitting area was more than enough to accommodate three couples who gathered for drinks and some gift exchanging after our dinner. The bed was absolutely luxurious! Breakfast (included) the following morning was pretty basic, but no complaints at all. We will very likely have our family gathering here again next year. Can't say enough about every aspect - service, check-in, everyone we encountered during our stay.

I’m always hesitant to stay at a locally owned hotel but my client said it was nice and the most convenient. The hotel is located on a beautiful, rural river road and parking is very easy. Staff was wonderfully friendly. I did appreciate the bed, bath and body toiletries - nice touch. The bed was firm but very comfortable and the room was quiet.
The accommodation itself is a former Country Suites chain location and still feels like a Country Suites. Bulky wooden furniture in the lobby and breakfast area, cheaper room furniture, and lots of visible cords with unused space. Breakfast was below average with the exact same Country Suites feel and layout.
The hotel gets a poor rating from me because my room was not clean. Upon arrival, the decorative bed cover had a part of a candy wrapper on it (perhaps from the former guest’s rock hard gummy bears left for each guest on the pillow). I folded it and put it away. I was too tired to worry and the rest of the linens seemed clean. However, the next morning I stepped into the shower to see multiple tangles of large hairs on my shower wall. It was 100% obvious the shower was not cleaned. I was in a hurry so I bucked it up, finished my shower, and bravely tried to not think about this nastiness. When my wall mounted blow dryer quit after two minutes, the desk clerk was super prompt with a replacement. I brought her in to show her the hair in the shower and she was very apologetic and had me snap a picture and send it to the hotel email. She proactively said that the shower had not been cleaned. Here’s the clincher - it’s been over four days and NOTHING. No apology, no email, no offer of remedy - zilch. Now, the hotel may reverse the charge to my client (it was direct bill), but my client didn’t take a shower with hairs all over it. And, I didn’t tell my client as they would have felt bad about recommending the hotel.
I cannot recommend this hotel.
I want to thank you for taking the time to speak with me about your review. I take your review seriously and to heart. I apologize our quality of service did not meet your expectations. D.Hotel team and I recognize our faults and we strive to move forward to the high standards that we always live by. I am very happy that I cleared your perception of our breakfast being below average and that you did not see our fresh cut fruit or oatmeal. These two items are a staple in our breakfast everyday along with home made sweet breads. As I mentioned on Wednesdays we do an omelet station and also during the week have breakfast pizza, egg sandwiches, homemade quiche and this week trying eggs Benedict. Guests always have a different choice everyday not like most hotels. I am very proud of our free hot complimentary breakfast and hope someday you say it is above average.
Since opening in 2013, I have renovated the whole hotel and added a Spa. We are continuing to upgrade bathrooms with new tile and granite tops. Each room has its own individual look and not cookie cutter.
I sincerely hope that you give us another chance when you are in the area.
