This high quality pizzeria was a little hard to find at first, because it is located within a liquor store! The pizza was very good, though different from New York pizza. They use a lot of cornmeal in the crust. It was pretty pricey, $42 for two pies and a 2-liter soda.

And Otto's has one of the best crusts I have ever eaten. The fixings are equally good. They may have started in Maine, but this location in Newburyport is on top of their game. Well worth a try.

We had the roasted eggplant with fresh tomato sauce, ricotta cheese, garlic and fresh basil. Even after we had our fill we couldn't stop eating it because it was so incredible! The flavors were perfectly balanced and the crust was light and crispy. Best pizza in town!

Take out gourmet pizza housed within an established wine and liquor store, Otto is a recently added, one stop shopping component. Like the cheese and condiment counter, it's a clever concept if you're pulling together a last minute gathering. Personable service. Albeit, expensive. Upscale toppings, but rather average pizza.

Pizza variety is great. Think crust with plenty of choices for toppings or recommended pizzas. Conveniently located next to/within a package store for those picking up needing beer/wine.
