Wild Ginger is a small but perfectly formed That and Pan Asian restaurant located next to Webbs Pro Fitness but in a separate parking area. Drive around the back if the front is full. There are a couple of steps going in but the restaurant is ground floor and level.

The interior is bright and airy, the servers fast and friendly. They kept our cold water topped up without asking and had good suggestions when asked.

We ordered steamed pork gyoza which were plump little dumplings sprinkled with green onions and served with an excellent dipping sauce.

I chose the wide rice noodles with shrimp per the servers suggestion. Chock full of veg and shrimp, it was nicely spicey without burning.

Thai Noodle Soup has a light flavourful broth with your choice of protein. Our resident teenager enjoyed his chicken satay and udon noodles that we brought home for him.

We decided we would all order those same dishes again and look forward to a return visit to try different menu items.

I'm not a foodie, but I love Thai food. Wild Ginger has a standard Thai menu that they do very well. The portions are ample but not huge, the spices are right on target, and they will accommodate to your individual needs. The restaurant itself is small, immaculately clean, and more of a minimalistic spa atmosphere than stereotypical. The staff is friendly, courteous, and attentive. There is no pressure to leave and at lunch time there was no wait for a table. Wild Ginger is located right off the main road near a light which makes entering off this busy street easy. The only drawback is that the parking in front is limited and if you have to park in the back of the building you need to walk up a relatively steep hill (elderly people may want to be dropped off at the door.) Otherwise, it is a really pleasant dining experience.

All dishes are great - but get the "Gai Grapow" (basil chicken) lunch special.
It's delicious. The egg on top makes it.
