We book a cottage for a girls weekend and were pleasantly surprised with how cute it was. Cottage came with a beach pass to local beaches and was within walking distance of downtown. The only comment I had, would have been to have some updated, more comfy seating for the living room.

Room Tip: Grapevine cottage was a good location

We have stayed here twice with our two teenagers. It's perfect for location. It's got everything you need and on a quiet strreet which is a 2 minute drive or 15 min walk on a footpath along the ocean into the Village of Rockport. Great beaches nearby. 10 minute drive to Gloucester. Great getaway!

Absolutely perfect, we stayed at the Corner Cottage with our 5 kids and, had a wonderful time. Great location and plenty to do, just a short walk away from the water. We will definitely stay again, very nice to have access to the shared yard with the grills and Hammock. Loved every minute of it here,

Five of us stayed here for my best friend's bachelorette weekend and it was wonderful! Our cabin slept 5, had a kitchenette, and we had access to firewood. It's across the street from the water and is in a residential area, so it feels more remote and quiet than you'd expect being in a busy tourist area.

...because this visit was AMAZING.

Lighthouse Lane Cottages is one of those hidden gems that I don't want to write a review for because I want to keep it hidden from the world. Owned by a lovely woman, Laurie, who sees to every detail from equipping her four cottages with everything you need but groceries to leaving fresh cut flowers and a welcome basket with snacks and wine, she leaves no stone unturned.

Cottages that a couple can honeymoon at to slightly larger cottages a family can enjoy, you simply can't go wrong here. With even peak/high season rates nearly half less than anything else around, you can really stretch your vacation budget here all while enjoying the beauty of Rockport and all its surroundings. Gloucester is a short three minute drive and Salem is 15 minutes away so fall here is superb.

Freshly made beds and stocked bathrooms await you as does satellite television and WiFi should you desire. There are full laundry facilities, outdoor grills, lawn furniture, even lawn games and bicycles(adult sized)at your disposal. All four cabins have well equipped kitchenettes with dishes, flatware, pots and pans, microwave, stove, even toasters. You will be close to neighboring guests as the cottages do encircle a grassed common yard but no worries, you will be too busy relaxing or site seeing to even notice. The ocean can be seen from the property and that ocean smell can almost be bottled it is that close.

Staying while it's chilly? Don't worry, there is a fireplace in each cabin with plenty of firewood to burn.

There is a small beach within a short walk past the cottages on Marmion Way that is a sea glass lovers paradise(found loads of cobalt there).

Historic Bearskin Neck is less than a mile away and you MUST visit Top Dog for the best hotdogs ever and the Bean and Leaf Cafe' tops any other coffee house I've personally visisted.

With rates ranging from $550-$1200 for a week based upon season, again, I can't stress how affordable and middle class American family friendly Lighthouse Lane Cottages are for your vacation budget.

There are so many great historic places to visit in and around town. Even making an hour drive towards Boston for history is worth the drive knowing you will come back to a relaxing evening here.

Lighthouse Lane Cottages would have gotten a 10 star review were it possible. Plan your visit now.
