Plenty of parking, very clean beach, well kept restrooms, some lifeguards, but no food. Not a great beach for little children at high tide due to waves and drop down. However, very nice at low tide as waves diminish and ground flattens out. Canal to the side for watching boats come in and out. Jetty for fishing and walking. All in all this was surprisingly a beautiful beach.

today was a great day for a family annual bbq at this beach, they have bbq grill and benches all around the reservation, a bathroom , non flushing but use composed waste for recycling and there was no offensive odor lingering. If you plan on going, price is $14 for MA plates and $20 for non-Ma. They do take credits card for the fee. My advice, GO EARLY We got there at 9am and the line was already long going into the reservation gate. Pick a shady spot and bbq and take a dip at the beach!

Great clean friendly campground. Very large and open ( little privacy). Clean toilets. All sites have electric and water. No sewers but revamped and enlarged dump station. This camping area is all about the beach. Clean sandy oven beach one side, clean sandy river side beach on another. Alcohol not allowed. All sites have fire pit and stand up Bbq.

Family stayed at the reservation for 9 days over 4th of July. Enjoyed the beach (riverside) with family dog, until someone dumped their sewerage from their boat into the river. A large brown foam mass appeared on the beach and in the water, and did not look healthy. I don't understand why someone would do that. It was gross for a while. Obviously not the campgrounds fault, but I felt I should mention it.

Loved the state employees walking around the beaches with fun nature facts and their presentations. We never had this experience before and we enjoyed their input and knowledge. View of fireworks from state beach was amazing. Staff at the entrance was very nice and helpful.

Bathrooms were clean but many showers were out of order. Bathroom attendants tend to clean the bathrooms during peak times (morning and late afternoon after beach time) and this was a problem causing extremely long wait times for showers that did work. We were there for 9 days and never saw one maintenance person working on fixing the showers. When we complained to staff, they appeared "surprised" (Really?) and said they'd get right on it. Needless to say, they didn't.

We enjoyed our stay, however, we had just a few glitches with the bathrooms.

My family along with several other families have been camping here for almost 20 years. The campground is run by the state and is a beautiful stretch of beach. Campsites are good in size and fires are allowed. For summer reservations you should book 6 months from the date you want to go, booking is done thru Reserve America. Campground is clean and within a short walk from beach or river side where fishing and dogs are allowed. Dogs are also allowed on beach after 5 pm. Great place, bring bikes! Close to downtown Salisbury beach area too.
