We were excited to try the new Italian in Sudbury and we liked a lot of what Da Vinci brings but also think there is some scope to make it even better. Portions are quite large so having some more options for smaller plates and lighter fare would be great. The mussels appetizer was EXCELLENT (shared between 2 was the perfect size) and for mains we had the Tagliatelle al funghi (really tasty) and took home half of it, and the Chicken Portapolgia which was tasty but a huge portion with a heavy cream sauce. No room for desert! We also found the air conditioning too cold. Nice reasonable wine options. Will return and give it another try!

Had dinner there tonight. It was freezing. Had to be in the 60's. My wife had to place her napkin on her shoulders. Waitress said she'd speak to the manager but nothing happened.
Mussels and fig apps were outstanding. Tagliatelli and Bologna pasta dishes were terrific. Cannoli's were not very good. Grainy filling. I had a vanilla "gelato". I'd say it really wasn't gelato but was ok. The other scoop was full of ice crystals. Not good. Most reviewers comment on the noise, and they are correct. It is very noisy. Have to lean across the table to talk to your partner.
A server came and delivered entrees and took away my wife's bread dish. Got another. Then another server started to take our bread away! By the way, the bread is not what you'd expect at a good Italian restaurant.
Will return, with a sweater and will skip dessert. Maybe some day the owner will read the reviews and install an acoustic ceiling.

Driving by we saw that Friendly's had been transformed into a new restaurant. The shape looks the same but walking in, you would never know it was a Friendly's before. Service was fantastic. Our server Nikki was very attentive and she had two helpers that were also very attentive. We tried the special appetizer, fig wrapped in prosciutto, it was different, very interesting and had great flavor. Our meals were very good and very fresh. My husband had the crab ravioli and they were made fresh. They had a few specialty drinks that were $12 and the two we had were both very tasty. We had the white sangria and the Me Jane. The Me Jane was very good but it was sweet. Overall we had a great dinner and enjoyed sitting on the back patio. We will be back.

Relatively new restaurant. Replacing Friendly's. Thank goodness!!
This is such a transformation.
Food was delicious. Sauce on the pork loin wrapped with prosciutto, a very excellent combination of flavors. Excellent chef.
We will be back!
(I do wish the noise level could be solved, but due to the size of the dining area, I think not.)
Wait staff is attentive, very personable, and knowledgeable.
We will be back.

If you are looking for a great Italian fare head out to DaVinci Bistro in Sudbury,MA.
If you know Chef Peppino then you are in for treat. Plenty of food for the $$

Host Dariusz is very gracious and the wait staff was good.. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and they came out with a birthday dessert!

Overall experience was good. If you want the same head into Boston, DaVinci Restaurant , flagship restaurant just as good.

Finally, if you are looking for good Indian head to their other restaurant, Soul of India in Sudbury, too. Just down the road from the Bistro.
