I love eating here it is particularly great for special occasions. The menu has a vast array of delectable delights to tempt all gastronomic inclinations. My favorites are: the Lobster Savannah, the rack of lamb in delicious gravy, the potatoes au gratin (absolutely scrumptious) and there is always plenty to take home for a midnight snack. The Lobster bisque surpasses many in flavour and consistency.

A great place for ambience and great food - basic American favorites with a gourmet touch. I was there the night after Christmas, the perfect choice on a very cold evening. The Inn's dining room provided the perfect setting on such a night - warm and inviting in the traditional New England way.

The Inn embodies the look and feel of a classic New England Inn, the wood work is fantastic, the people are very welcoming, and the overall atmosphere is warming. The menu is a whole other delight in itself, just as eccentric as the Inn. The only flaw in this otherwise New England gem is the uncontrollable noise level within the main dining room. The Inn, especially around the holidays, tends to be a gathering place for family feasts. Because of these mass gatherings and the design of the Inn, the noise level has the tendency to reach a level that makes it hard to converse with members of your own party. All the negatives aside, the Inn does still offer a nice quaint New England experience.

And the Whately Inn made it so easy! The 56 guests enjoyed a buffet of 3 entrees that we chose: baked stuffed scrod, chicken marsala, and gorganzola steak tips. The butternut squash, au gratin potatoes, salad, rolls and butter, and coffee bar were all included. The actual birthday was September 1st, but the party on December 16th was worth the wait! Lisa and Dan were experts at what they do, and kept the flow going from 11am to 2pm, even taking the group's picture! There were lots of people coming into the normally closed during the day except Sundays restaurant to get the 20 percent off gift cards that they were selling Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Everyone had a great time and the birthday girl got to eat at her favorite place.

Somebody told me about this place three years ago and every time I'm in the area,it's a must. They start off with and appetizer of fresh carrots, sliced cucumber and black olives with celery pieces in a delicious oil based dressing. You then have a choice of dinner entrees that are accompanied by choice of potatoe and vegetable of the day. This meal also comes with rolls andbutter, salad and personal appetizer. They end it with a choice of a variety of desserts.Add a couple of cocktails and a beer or two and it's aperfect dinner.I went with one other family member and we got all of this for 80 bucks. And ladies you get a fresh cut rose when you leave.
