Horrible staff. Tried to cancel due to pool hot tub not working (they were when I made the reservation) manager was out of town. Didn’t respond to Expedia’s email ended up charging me and still won’t respond to my phone calls.

The website was very deceiving and hotel doesn’t look up to date. When I booked it the site did not say the pool was under construction. We were here for a tournament and my kids had school work to do. The wifi is so bad their laptops could not work. I had to take them to Starbucks so they can turn in their assignments that were due today. I talked to front staff about my complaints with the hotel and asked for a refund since we only been here 2 hours and I go elsewhere. They said they could not refund me since we booked our room in advance. ♀️ Don’t like most people book their rooms in advance? Front desk not very pleasant.
The curved curtain rod was loose which kept the curtain from closing on both ends allowing water to escape and flooding the bathroom floor. It was addressed twice and never tended to, making us to use our clean towels and having to ask for more. Needless to say a huge liability!!
When booking online there was no mention of the pool and hot tub being unavailable. We were staying with other families from my son’s soccer team and the kids were all looking forward to hanging out and swimming. It was hard to explain to them it was unavailable bc we packed suits since we didn’t know it wasn’t available. Also our room had a nasty rusted sprinkler in bathroom and an outlet cover was broken/eaten away. Dresser had multiple edges broken off too.
We chose this hotel because of the location and price. It was just outside of Detroit but still around many great restaurants and businesses. We will definitely be back when traveling to Detroit area again.
This was by far the worst stay ever.
The manager was beyond rude.

Birthday party a in the pool area that made it so we could not even enjoy the pool they where way way over the allowed amount in the pool area. The pool water was like gray the hot tube water made you smell like pond.
I am in need of my service dog they wanted to tell me she was not welcome in the hotel at all. But then a lady had a small dog and was letting it run the halls and kids chasing it. The said dog then jumped and nipped at me and my kids. The fact the manger thinks it's ok to brake ADA laws is mind blowing to me but then allows pet dogs to run the hotel free. I did go to corporate but of course nothing has been fallowed up on in weeks.
