We upgraded to a suite that, aside from the view, was unimpressive. The rate was $565 which was a joke for the quality of the room and service. The staff at the front desk was poorly trained, or maybe the company doesn't care about customer experience. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and we asked if there was anything that they could do, the woman actually ignored us for a little bit, and then, without saying a word, seriously walked away and went behind the employee only door.

We called for room service and the phone rang for five minutes, before I gave up. We called the front desk for help, and they just transferred us back into the same cue.

There was no menu in the room, we had to use the TV menu, but you couldn't place an order from the TV. Very inconvenient. Meh room. Indifferent service. A poor buffet with uninspired food. And a really smokey gaming floor. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Room Tip: My tip is don't stay here!

Stayed here for a Kid Rock Concert at the new stadium. There was a long line to check-in, but Chanita was extremely pleasant, found my separate reservations and linked them up. I was impressed with how calm the check-in process was when there was a good amount of chaos going on with people arriving.

The room was a Luxury Queen, which wasn't super impressive, but it was very clean. We had dinner at Wolfgang's which is always an awesome culinary experience. We easily Uber'd to the concert and back. Some of the people in my group decided to hit the casino while I hit the hay after the concert. It was very convenient and provided many options for groups who may want to do different things.

My friends and I booked a block of three rooms for a friend's bachelor party on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017. We had booked the rooms months in advance and *paid list price* for them. In spite of this, when we arrived at 5 pm to check in, our rooms were not available, even though check in was at 4 p.m. We had a Tigers game at 6 p.m., and we did not get in to our rooms until 5:50 p.m., which meant that we arrived late to the game.

When our rooms were delayed, we were told that we would have breakfast comped. BUT, when the second woman helped us out, she told us that we would receive a $50 per room credit. With 11 of us total, that would not come close to compensating our breakfast bill. Then began the arguing, and a stoic, painfully rude woman with a limp (who claimed to be the manager, though by all accounts she hadn't a management bone in her body) came out to let us know that she would give us a maximum comp per room of $75, AND all three rooms would be on separate floors. After much arguing, we got our $100 comp per room, but why did we have to argue for it - they were in the wrong, and yet there was zero empathy!

The rooms are undeniably beautiful, and the gym is heavenly. Same goes for the indoor pool - though it lacks a lot of natural light, it is sensational. They spared no expense when building this hotel.

That notwithstanding, the fact remains that we paid list price ($399), and yet we were treated like second-class citizens at the front desk. The service and absence of empathy was just unacceptable, and if you have a chance to stay elsewhere, do yourself a favor and avoid this place - it is simply a poor value for the money due to the overall experience.

Dear SKM980:

While we are certainly encouraged by your assessment of our beautiful accommodations, amazing pool facilities, and spacious fitness center, it seems that issues of room assignment, as well as some disappointing interactions with our service staff, left you feeling unsatisfied with your stay. Please afford us the chance to apologize for these oversights and know we will work to improve our efforts moving ahead. We value your patronage and hope you will afford us the chance to better meet your needs, the next time you come to town.
