Personally, I like the Westin Group of hotels. They are clean, friendly, etc. and this downtown Detroit hotel is no exception. The front desk had SPG check-in which was nice and placed us on the 21st floor which is reserved for SPG members. The rooms were clean with no issues whatsoever.
We were there for a conference and the Westin did a good job, not great but good. The event was for a high end client who were used to 5+ star service. The Westin is a 4 Star hotel in my opinion and the conference manager was not overly attentive to this event. Disappointing in my opinion as they really had a chance to shine with this high end client.
Overall, the hotel is a great place, close to everything you need in downtown Detroit. Rooms were very clean and the staff were great for the most part.
