We were staying with 2 other couples this past weekend. I called and they accepted a call ahead reservation for 6 or more. They sat us immediately when we arrived, which was great since all tables were full. Our server Michael was the best and the food was the same. I had read a few mixed reviews and I didn't see any negatives to our entire evening. Dinner was amazing and dessert too! Peanut butter s'mores were hand toasted at our table! Thanks for a delicious meal!

This weekend was our first get-away to Saugatuck/Douglas, MI, and several friends with very good taste recommended Everyday People to us for our anniversary dinner last night. We were not disappointed!

A contemporary cafe with exceptional, professional wait staff and decent background music (Cold Play to Jack Johnson to James Taylor), the kitchen staff delivered a memorable meal! We shared a Drunken Shrimp appetizer, which was almost like a shrimp Napolean. My husband enjoyed the filet with a butternut squash / apple mix and my 8 oz salmon was served over the best risotto of my life. Unlike other lobster risottos, where the chef thinks about lobster while creating the menu, this risotto actually had 1/2 to 1-inch pieces of lobster in it! Beautifully rich and creamy, this was the best risotto I've ever had! Dessert consisted of a shared creme brule Napolean (creme brule is my favorite dessert) doused with a raspberry sauce.

The wine list and cocktail menu is thorough. We both started with martinis. Mine was a Grey Goose straight up with an olive. So beautifully shaken that it evaporated before hitting the back of my mouth. Amazing!

We visited the weekend of 11/5. Everyday People does not take reservations, and a line had formed before opening even in the off-season, so plan accordingly.

Got a table right away. Nice atmosphere, but a bit chilly every time someone came in the front door, as we were seated near there. Server gave us additional time to look over the menu but didn't return for quite some time. Once we ordered, the meals came in a timely manner and the server checked back on us. The shrimp pastry appetizer, wine and cocktail were good to start but I t went downhill from there with the meal and the final bill. Though we didn't complain both my husband's and my entree were mediocre. Then when we were done and ready for the bill the server didn't ask if we wanted two separate checks when it was obvious we had two separate couple (us and our friends). We had to ask to split the bill when she brought it. When she returned our orders were separated and itemized, but hand written on the same paper which covered the tables - not too professional. Disappointing food experience but fun with friends in a nice setting.

We haven't been here for a while, but my wife and I really liked the breakfast here when we stayed in nearby Saugatuck. There had been a major Halloween party in Douglas the night before, and the other customers had obviously had a good time the night before - which made for an entertaining brunch.

Good food, friendly service, but I wish they opened earlier on Sunday - we had to skip it on our most recent trip.

My girlfriends and I had brunch at Everyday People yesterday. The food was excellent and our server, Michael was great! He made sure we had everything we needed and was very attentive (and kept our Champagne Flutes full.) Everyday People Cafe never disappoints! Thanks Michael and EPC!!!
