We were looking for the perfect place to stopover on our way to and from the Lot-et-Garonne. What a find La Rochelière turned out to be. After a long hot day behind the wheel we were welcomed by the lovely Anneli who showed us to our gorgeous room and then directed us to the pool. How fantastic to take a refreshing dip and what an amazing view. The pool is at the top of a cliff at the back of the property. We will be staying again on our return, a wonderful way to end our holiday.

A wonderful find from Tripadvisor recommendations this. A lovely converted old residence with clean, warm characterful rooms. The welcome is charming and the breakfast is fantastic. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night this summer.
This B&B gets a 5 star review because of Madame Anneli Tulkki's hospitality. She welcomed us into her home and made us feel like family. She was a gracious hostess, took time to get to know us and offered information about the area.

Pros -
- Coolness factor - you are basically staying inside a cave!
- Amazing hospitality
- Delicious breakfast including freshly baked bread and homemade jams
- Very clean - especially considering how hard it must be to maintain such an old house
- Vouvray is conveniently located between Tours and Amboise. Perfect for night halt on a trip exploring all the Loire castles and wineries.
- Free parking

They also have a rooftop pool overlooking Vouvray. Too bad we didn't have enough time to jump in for a dip.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet and beautiful

We were travelling from Burgundy to Normandy and decided to break the journey and stay in Vouvray. This gorgeous B & B was such a treat. Anneli was a very gracious host, taking the time to chat and offered information about the area. The swimming pool on the roof top accessed via a very interesting circular staircase through a cave was a highlight. The breakfast offered was presented beautifully as with the décor of the guesthouse. A very welcoming place to stay, with off street parking. We could have stayed longer!

Staying at La Rocheliere felt like we were staying with family. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and the grounds were beautiful as well. Great location, walking distance to amazing restaurants, and town. We enjoyed our conversations with Madame Tulkki and loved playing with Jaguar! Thank you Madame Tulkki for being such a wonderful hostess and sharing your beautiful home with us!

Room Tip: All rooms in this B&B are beautiful!
