Wednesday night 6:30. Nine of us had reservations. Still had a 45 minuet wait and ended up sitting at two tables- men at one, women at another across the room. All tables were very close together. Backs of chairs often hitting. If a person at a table next to yours wanted to get out, you had to stand to let them out. Very noisy.
I ordered the sizzler- medium, salad and baked potato. The salad had fresh tomatoes and spring greens and the potato was well done and served with butter and maybe a tablespoon of sour cream. The steak was a big disappointment. It was quite sinuous and hard to chew in spite of the tons of tenderizer they had applied. The meat was rendered mealy and had the texture of cooked liver.

Our waitress was inattentive. We had to ask for water refills and waited way to long before our bills were brought. We had to again motion for her to take our credit cards.

Our Thursday Night Supper Club visited Turk’s last Thursday. We all take turns choosing the location and we were all excited about this venue - everyone said “we haven’t been there for years “. And I don’t know why, other than it’s kinda remote location. It’s a cozy, clean atmosphere and the food and service is always consistent. My choice was the Top Sirloin Travelers Steak - delicious and cooked perfectly rare. Several of our group had the special which was a beef burrito and they all loved it! Take a trip out to Nunica for lunch or dinner - it’s worth the trip!

Our family has dined at Turk's for over 3 decades, through many owners and we still enjoy it. We live near and take advantage of ordering and picking up because they can be very busy in the evenings especially during the weekends.

They have a great Prime Rib Dip sandwich, my husband loves their Corned Beef spread appetizer and they have amazing Onion Rings.

All three of us had the Tavern Pork sandwich (recommended by the waitress). Tasty and a good blend with Swiss cheese and ham. Ciabatta bun was soft and worked well. We used BBQ sauces as a nice dip to add to the flavors. Onion rings were good (especially the sabi sauce). Looked like great beer selections (too bad we had to pass as we were heading back to work). Very comfortable setting as well. Samantha did a great job. We will be back.

A long standing restaurant that my husband and I used to go to when we were dating over 40 years ago. They have some unique dishes that are very good. It is very crowded with seating very close together.
