Timber Trace is a real gem of a golf course just outside of downtown Pinckney. Well worth the drive. Excellent layout and course is always in great shape. If it rains, course drains very well. You also get an extra bonus of taking a 5 min nature ride between holes 12/13 and then again between 16/17.
I really like this course. OK I am no Arnie but this course is a great test for the average golfer even from the whites. There is a lot of elevation change, great scenery, a friendly staff and full bar/grill.
Part of the course is a 10 minute cart drive through the woods and wetlands. Beautiful!
It's senior friendly during the week.
Give it a try.
We love this course and it's one we try to play every year. I would NOT order any food here, however. Take a look at the women's bathroom and you'll so it's not clean at all. It's disgusting in fact. So make sure to bring food with you. Cleanliness or lack thereof will translate/transfer from bathroom to kitchen.
Thank you for your review of the course last year. This issue has been addressed and will not be an issue going forward. Thank you for playing Timber Trace Golf Club
Played here for the first time on 6/30/13 and we enjoyed our round. The course was in good condition, which is always important. It is a very challenging layout with lots of ways to get into trouble. The fairways are typically wide and generous, which is good because there are a lot of trees and native grasses. A couple of small complaints: There are way too many houses right on the course; not my favorite thing. Also, we did not see a beverage cart at all on a hot Sunday?? It's a little hike for me, but I would play here again if I were in the area.
I have golfed Timber Trace several times, this is a well maintained course that is located on the west side of Pinckney, MI. The course is great for seasoned golfers and for those new to the sport. Play Timber Trace and enjoy.
Play on a weekday if you can because rates are very reasonable. Course is tight, so shot control is important. Really enjoyed playing this course.
