The quaint interior of this restaurant made us wonder what to expect from the food. It's best describe as a neo-modern family house. Modern white chairs, no pretentious linen table cloths, tastefully decorated, casual dressy. The food then blew us away! On the recommendation of the waiter, I got the osso bucco beef. Fall off the bone meat, with carrots and other veggies on a bed of risotto that was fabulous. My friend got the handmade gnocchi with a wild boar sauce (that had pieces of boar you could spear with your fork).

Stopped in for lunch while in town for business. The food was great and so was the service. Has its own designated parking lot, so downtown parking was easy. Very good salad and pasta options. The place felt very modern and clean inside, definitely diverse from other dining options in the nearby area.

Atmosphere is romantic, plates are very good, and service is okay with room for improvement. Arancini for appetizer, beef medallions and chicken saltimbocca as main entrees were excellent. Minestrone soup was awful. The broth was water with no flavor, and sent it back. The soup will not stop us from returning, but it was disappointing. We like to go around 4:30 to avoid waiting. The establishment is small and cozy, so it does line up during your dinner hours. Our bill was $78 for 2 of us, which included appetizer, 2 main entrees and 3 beers.

Thank you for your comments. I am sorry you didn't like the minestrone. We certainly your honest evaluation. We are looking into what might have caused the soup to be flavorless. Certainly the soup wasn't seasoned properly or mixed appropriately. Comments both positive and other help us to improve our operation. Our goal is 100% satisfaction and it takes a continuous commitment to achieve this goal. Please ask for me when you come in next time.

Been here many times and although it gets crowded and you might have to wait at peak times, the food is always good and waitstaff very professional.

While Compari's gets all the attention (and for good reason) Nico & Vali is a wonderful alternative. Only one block from Kellogg Park, it's very convenient for everything CTP has to offer. The menu is well balanced and the food is delightful. The outside dining in the summer is more quiet/reserved than those on the sidewalks across from the park. N&V is often forgotten (or unknown) which makes it a bit of a hidden gem.
