Description: Established in 2005.O'Connor's was designed and built by the Prairie Pub Company, one of only five Guinness approved authentic Irish pub builders in the world. The finished pub was shipped to the States and reassembled in the historical downtown district of Rochester Michigan.Stop by and enjoy some of the of history in this Irish pub. Some particular items to take special notice of are the floor located in the main bar area dating back more than 140 years, also the the stone wall separating the dinning area from the bar was once an exterior wall, now recovered offering a soft rustic feel. You will also notice stain glass and wrought iron in the pub which was harvested from crumbling churches through out Ireland.

I've been to plenty of "Irish Pubs" in my day, in the U.S., Germany, Sweden, and, yes, even Ireland! This was the most authentic of all Irish Pubs in America I have ever visited. The décor, the menu choices, and the food could cause one to think he had been teleported to the Emerald Isle! OK, so the bar tender needs to work on his brogue a bit, but other than that... This pub offers a great selection of beers on tap (including Harp and Guinness) and the shepard's pie was one I will return for again and again!

I was here for a late night meal after a work event with a group of people. There was live music when we were there, which was nice, but it made it difficult to converse over the music. The menu offers a large variety. Most of the people I was with had the boxties. I went for the fish taco as I didn't want anything big that late. The portion sizes were very large. The fish on my taco was a bit tough as was the corn shell as it was fried in-house and still somewhat oily. I skipped eating the shell and just ate the fish. Everyone else really enjoyed their boxties. Service was very good.

We usually end up here at least three times a month. The food is good and there is a good selection of beers. The shepherd's pie and Piedmontese burger are my favorite items on the menu. As far as Irish fare, they also have Guinness Stew, Chicken Pot Pie, a sampler that includes all three previous entrees, fish and chips, and boxties. They have music some nights.

This is a decent place to hang out. I would consider the food above average for bar food. It does tend to get packed on weekends, plan on standing until you get lucky enough to snag a table or a bar stool. It's sometimes hard to get a drink at the bar when they are super busy. If you are claustrophobic not the best place for you, due to limited space waitstaff and people will constantly be moving around you and bumping into you. Once again, this is only at the prime busy hours. It is a nice establishment, and a fun place. Tends to be pretty young. Mid 20s and 30's.

We really enjoy O'Connor's. The service is consistently good and we always get some great brews. Although the options are rather limited for vegetarians, the veg boxty never fails to hit the spot. It grows quite loud-warning if you don't like noisy spaces. Sometimes the place can get a little dingy, but rarely....and it IS a bar, after all.
