The house is beautiful,so clean and plenty of room for 10 plus people. I only had 3 adults 2 kids. We would stay again for sure. The lake is a little more than 3 blocks away,still walking distance its clean and has nice beach. My kids and I was a little disappointed about the playground across the street that's mentioned, its not the same one in the picture. You cant play on it weeds growing all around it and it's broken,its at a school that is no longer used. The upside to this is there is a nice little wooden swing set in the backyard so gave the girls something to do and the basketball hoop was put to good use too. The spa was nice, the owner came right over when it needed a little attention. Great guy very helpful on where to fish and rent boats, kayaks, things to check out sight seeing wise. Your about 10 mins from tippy dam, 17 miles from Manistee. Was only staying 3 nights ended up 4 nights good family times,many family memories. Thank you for allowing us in your home. We hope to stay again.

We had a fabulous trip. We were at first disappointed because we expected the house to be in a more secluded woodsy location, but honestly it was lovely. Once inside the house you definitely felt the north woods vibe, solid wood panelling everywhere and so many stuffed bears. It was lovely and everything we needed was provided. I might even call the house swank- it was nice. Large tvs in every room and a giant shower. Kitchen had everything we needed. Hot tub was amazing and the lovely cedar shed around it made it feel secluded and private enough. Owners were helpful and available to help instantly with changing the filter on the hot tub and made us feel welcome and cared for, even offering to mail home some things we left behind. A million stars.

What a wonderful home to rent to just get away. Not a lot to do in Wellston but really enjoyed the peace and quiet. It is fully equipped with everything you need. Loved it.

This is the second year we rented this home for Labor Day weekend. My family enjoys staying here. The house is very spacious and roomy. The owners are very easy to contact and always helpful.
30 minute drive to Manistee with gorgeous beaches. Besides the local lake within walking distance.
Very quite area.
