“Amazing work out and scenery”

Reviewed 17 August 2016

Biking this trail is a blast. People also walk, run or roller-blade. All sorts of activity on the trail! Many people using it, so I never felt too isolated. The trail is nice, but going to the upper ridge by the Buffalo house is not for the infirm!

Seems like the last time I came up to bike here they had sections that suddenly were gravel! But then I think it was due to some bad weather. Now there are many areas that are waiting to be finished. You can still ride it all but not sure if there is a funding issue or just no hurry to finish? I'd highly suggest doing the ride from Carlton to Duluth.

The trail is mostly paved with some gravel patches but not bad. We took it from the Williard Mungar Inn and it is an incline all the way- we went about 8 miles and had a very nice lunch at the Buffalo Creek Inn. Going back was easy just wish we had more views of the water.

We enjoyed cycling the trail and roller blading. Easy to access and miles of paved trails, interesting rock cuts along an old railway line.
