Attraction details
Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: Bluffscape Amish Tours of Lanesboro will take you on a fun, educational experience through the Amish countryside of Southeastern Minnesota. Your tour will depart from Lanesboro and travel to an Amish farm home where you will browse Amish-made quilts, stop at an Amish farmers market filled with fresh baked and canned goods, peruse Amish hand-made baskets, admire the craftsmanship of Amish wood furniture, munch on buttery, sweet cashew crunch you may find along the way, and purchase fruits and vegetables from Amish gardens while in season. As we go to each Amish farm, your Bluffscape guide will explain about the Amish culture and the families that you will visit. For history buffs, we may make a non-Amish stop at the oldest church in Fillmore County. Bluffscape Amish Tours are about three hours long and provide an abundance of information about the Old Order Amish of SE Minnesota. Bluffscape Amish tours are fun for all ages. Open mid-April through mid-November.

Enjoyed the tour and the guide, Joan. We were able to buy handmade items. The candies are delicious. Make sure to use the restroom before you leave on the three hour tour.

I'm glad we took the tour. We would have never found these places by ourselves very interesting about the Amish history and culture. Loved the bakery I would recommend it for anyone! Thanks Bluffscape for a great tour

Took the tour with Mary. She did an excellent job, is very knowledgeable of the Amish community and obviously has a warm, mutually respectful relationship with the Amish farm owners we visited. I would highly recommend this tour and Mary!

The tour guide was very informative and respectful of the Amish culture and families. We got a glimpse of the lifestyle without exploitation of anyone. She has a close connection to the families, who all knew her by name. There is shopping at some of the stops. I bought a few things, mostly because I wanted to contribute to the families. Many things are signed on the bottom. (I was a bit taken back to notice a corner basket I purchased was made in 2009 and had been sitting on the shelf for 8 years). The bakery stop was amazing, very wonderful treats. Highly recommend this tour.

The Amish tour was amazing. Joan was very well versed in her presentation. She has first hand knowledge and the mutual respect was obvious. We loved the stops and bought some home made goodies. I would recommend this tour. Thanks again, Joan...
