We stayed in the Spring room for a weekend. Everything you could want in a bed and breakfast. The room was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous, so much sunlight, and stocked with amazing homemade soap. Everything made it apparent that this was a very old building, but extremely well taken care of. As if it was new, but you were living a couple hundred years ago. The location was perfect. Just outside the restaurant/shops part of town. Quiet, but walk-able to anywhere. Lots of great food options. We took a pretty drive to some hiking further south one day, but hiking options in town too (we had done in the past).
The owners were charming and funny. Friendly, but adaptable to however social you wanted to be. We ended up really enjoying wine/beer/cheese social time, and we tend to be a little anti-social sometimes. They gave us great tips of things to do around town. The live music at Jimmy's Pub being one of them. The pets were a highlight for us. A cat that likes belly rubs, yes please.
Breakfast was of course wonderful. The dining room was beautiful. Coffee was available right outside of our room which was nice, we like a cup or two while we get ready. Came home to popcorn one night and brownies the next. Plenty to snack on or drink anytime.
Definitely one of the best bed and breakfasts we've been to. We will definitely be back when it's warmer to enjoy what looked like a really fun patio/backyard area.
