As a vegetarian, sushi restaurants are not normally my first pick. But Ootori Sushi has a diverse enough menu that there was a little stir fry, a little tempura, and a more interesting selection of vegetarian sushi rolls than most sushi restaurants I've tried. The prices were very reasonable ($4 for a single ingredient vegetable roll to $10 for my favorite, the Laughing Panda, which featured avocado, carrot, asparagus & mozzarella cheese (yes!) on the inside, and the outside was breaded and deep-fried with spicy mayo & mango sauce--delicious!). A tasty cup of miso soup was only $2, and the yummy seaweed salad (no, really!!) was $6, although the portion was only enough for one salad-loving vegetarian as a side dish. Our pescatarian friends enjoyed one of the tuna rolls, but everyone's favorite dish was the Thai Basil stir fry with tofu. The decor was attractive without being pretentious, and the noise level was not bad. In the good weather, patio seating is available. Save room for the Bananas Tempura for dessert!
