The sandwiches here amazing. It's kind of deli style and take out, a local well known hide out that keeps very busy. Limited seating, and just a great hole in the wall that remains under the radar but could hold its own in a busier venue.

Read about them in an article about Minnesota's best place for fried chicken. Was definitely not disappointed. Pressure cooked to order. BBQ was good also. Small older building in a neighborhood. If I lived closer than 1100 miles away I would come here all the time. You have to park on the street. Not really handicap accesable friendly though.

A couple of friends and me decided to give Rooster's a try on a nice, pleasant, sunny late Saturday morning. This place is one block east of I-35E on Randolph St. on the left side. The place is very small (2 booths & a couple of setae's). Huge order board on the wall to select your meal from. All of us decided on the baby back rib dinner. In about 5-7 minutes our meals were ready. Two of us took 20 oz. Coke's out of the display fridge earlier when paying. Your fries, cole slaw & a dinner roll are served up in a separate basket and then your ribs come in another. The sides first: slaw does not contain vinegar and has just a touch of mayo along with it being nice & crunchy . The fries are your standard frozen fries dusted with, I believe to be, paprika. The dinner roll is a commercial one. Now to the ribs: there are 8 meaty bones that have sauce brushed on not drenched, has a little tug to them and has a nice smoke ring. Around the table it was excellent, very good and eh for the ribs. The sauce was mild, sweet and had a little tang to it. Nothing fancy here but good eats on a quiet street. Parking is on the street.

Don't expect much when you enter. 2 booths and 2 round tables and a huge menu on the wall. We were greeted and asked what we wanted to order. We did ribs, fried chicken and pulled pork. Everything was awesome love the unique BBQ sauce... it's a must try. But be patient good fried chicken takes a bit.

Having passed this restaurant perhaps a thousand times over the years, I thought it was time we tried it. We fed 4 adults and 3 kids for less than $70 and there was a lot of food. Especially recommended is the chicken breast sandwich and the fish sandwich. Can't speak about the bbq features.
We ordered about 30 minutes ahead of time. The food was ready at the agreed upon time.
Most people pick up food and take it home, but there are a few tables if you would like to eat here.
