I was greeted by a very friendly front desk staffmember who handled everything I needed and even gave me a "goody bag" due to my status as a Wyndham Member. There is no elevator in the hotel - which is my only "bad mark." But, we were accommodated as I am disable - even though I didn't put that in the reservation remarks. The room was very welcoming, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was quite a bit better than I had anticipated.

This is one on the best Super 8's I have stayed in. Updated decor, very clean, convenient location to SBU campus, great value! The hotel was fully booked when I stayed here, and there was still plenty of hot water for my shower!

Of the hotels in the Bolivar area, the Super 8 was the most affordable and I knew by its name, it would be a reliable hotel. When rating a place like this I take in consideration cleaness, comfort, staff, location, and amenities. I had a room on the first floor of the two story building which was good, because there was no elevator. I had a king room with a comfortable king-size bed, sofa, flat screen TV, refrigerator, and microwave. There was nothing fancy about this room, but it was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel was located just off the highway by an overpass on the edge of Bolivar. The only places around it were a couple other hotels. To get gas, or snacks you had to drive almost a mile down the highway to another overpass where there was a gas station and quick store. This turned out to be very convenient for me since it was on the highway I would be traveling on the entire weekend.
