Description: When Tony Pietoso opened the original Cafe Napoli in the '80s, it quickly became a success. So Successful, in fact, that it moved to a bigger location at 7754 Forsyth Blvd. The restaurant continued to flourish with its generous portions of regional Italian specialties. Cafe Napoli has recently undergone a facelift and has added Bar Napoli next door. The swank cocktail lounge has soft lighting and a separate wine room that can accommodate 30 diners. The kitchen is headed by chef Jeff Davis, who has been with the restaurant for several years. Fortunato Pietoso, Tony's brother, has also returned to the kitchen. Tony makes rounds chatting with customers, many of whom appear to be on a first-name basis with him. The sons Ande and Kye split their time between the Bar and Cafe, as they are being groomed to take over the family business. Cafe Napoli is a must visit when in the St. Louis area. Some guests include Tony Bennett, Gloria Estefen, Joe Torre and Arnold Palmer to name a few.

Had a lovely dinner at Cafe Napoli. Shared the beef carpaccio. Paper thin and velvety. Also shared an arugula salad. Nice. The restaurant has really lightened up their offerings. In the past, salads have been overdressed. This was perfectly dressed. I had sea scallops with a side of linguine. Portion sizes well under control. Perfectly cooked. My husband’s ono was likewise prepared very well. Service was very good. My only complaint was the noise level.

Arrived for my 76th birthday dinner with 8 other relative family members. Escorted to the reserved Wine Room. Our server was Sarah. If anything made the event extra special was Sarah. She was a great server - helpful in every way, but most of all she really fit in to our joking and laughing. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and meals. I would return.

We had the best experience at Cafe Napoli! I planned ahead of time with Gale the events coordinator and they made our dinner experience very special for my mom's 60th birthday. Truly a dinner we will never forget. Each and every staff member was super helpful and incredibly nice, and the food is absolutely wonderful. Not to mention the fantastic wine list! This is all around my favorite restaurant in all of St. Louis. I recommend it at the highest level!

The only way you know this place is supposed to be nice is because it is priced that way. This is not the restaurant it was 20 years ago that delivered excellence all of the time. The servers act like it is your privilege to be there. SKIP IT.

This place tries to be a high end business dinner place but food is average. The sea food platter was kind of small and most of the oysters had broken shells. The deep fried ravioli were dry and uninspired. The seafood pasta had two over cooked shrimp and scallops. The creme brûlée tasted like scrambled eggs.
