A friend and I ate here on Friday night (10/21/16) for dinner. We went reluctantly, because quite frankly, this particular Red Lobster had really gone downhill, and I hadn't eaten here for over a year for that reason. However, we'd eaten at the one in Jefferson City, MO (30 minutes away), a few months ago, and learned that one of the managers was moving over to the Columbia location. So since we both really wanted seafood Friday night, so decided to give it a try. And to our surprise, it was markedly improved! We both had the Ultimate Feast Platter, which offers a little bit of everything (petite lobster tail, shrimp scampi, fried shrimp, and crab legs), and it was all really tasty! The traditional cheddar bay biscuits were also awesome. The one item that really needs improvement, though, is the salad. The iceberg lettuce was pretty wilted and drowned in way too much dressing. In previous years, they used to serve romaine lettuce, that was fresh and crispy. A return to that would improve all of their meals. But that was the only food complaint. Regarding atmosphere, it was great, and the service very good too. Additionally, the place was packed, which is always a good indicator that the experience is going to be a good one. All in all, I would say this Red Lobster is back on the right track!
