We came to Columbia for the sole purpose of seeing the eclipse. I couldn't have been more pleased with our hotel choice. The hotel was full with lots of families. The hotel staff, particularly the front desk, breakfast and bar crews, were extraordinarily busy (one could also say they were stressed) and they somehow maintained their good humor and customer focus throughout the weekend, always willing to go the extra mile. Heck, the front desk even had eclipse glasses for us! The breakfast and dinner/bar servers were literally running at times to keep up with demand, but always had a smile. They really hustled to ensure the long line of last-minute arrivals to breakfast Monday morning were served. We stayed on the hotel grounds during the eclipse in order to be near the hotel's services and the whole thing was just magical. I never gush about a hotel like this, but this is well deserved. Great job! Kudos to management and staff!

We stayed for one night 8/18/2017 in room #455, which is a standard king room with a chair in a room. We were checked in and checked out by the same clerk (Heather) who didn't thank us for being Hilton Honors gold members, but asked if we want our waters now???!!! I said that usually we get two bottled waters at the check in. Heather then gave us two bottle waters with no bag. When we went to our room, we found a dirty q-tip laying on a bathroom counter. It was really gross! We took a shower in the evening and water was hot, but when we were going to take one on the morning, the water was cold. It would switch from cold to slightly warm. Tried in 20 minutes and still cold! At the checkout Heather didn't ask us how our stay was, so my husband brought up the cleanliness of the room and no hot water problem. Heather offered to throw a dirty q-tip away and said that she will "make a note" about the hot water. We are gold Hilton Honors members, so obviously we don't ask for refunds often, but this stay was so horrid and not up to Hilton standards, so we asked for some kind of a refund, partial would be satisfactory (they have Hilton policy that if you are not satisfied,they "make it right") Heather said that "someone" "might" give us "some" bonus points, but not today, "maybe Monday" Today is Saturday. I was told the manager won't be in until Monday and we will get a call. Horrible experience, far from Hilton standards. Never would consider staying here again, would never recommend to anyone.

Pretty standard HGI. Not nice, not terribly dumpy although it is showing its age somewhat. The real problem was the cleanliness of the room and the shower. The bathroom could have been cleaner. The water pressure was terrible and, worse yet, the temperature was less than lukewarm. My Hilton Diamond status was not recognized and I was put in a room with double beds instead of a king.

This place was nice and I have no complaints. The breakfast was great, so was the service at the bar. Staff was extremely friendly and it was all-in-all a good experience. Rooms have a microwave and refrigerator which is a must for me!

Very nice hotel, super clean and comfortable. The staff at check in were very friendly and helpful. Pillows could have been a little firmer for our liking but the bed was super comfortable. One reason we chose this hotel was the location is away from the Interstate so it was nice and quiet. We would definitely recommend!
