We tried a few places during our visit to Salema, and by far, this was our favourite. It's a quirky little gem.

We were on an organized walking tour, and this was the place to come for breakfast each day. Paolo put on a really good spread, with lots of choices brought right to the table, and even provided the option of packing some for lunch on our hike. Excellent cappucinos to start the day! Paolo was so welcoming, we decided to try the place for dinner.

It was busy, but he found us a seat, and attended to us quickly. The couvert was fresh, the wine good, and our main meals were delicious and very generously sized. I ordered the Fettucine Bistro, and it was excellent - three types of pasta including squid ink, and lots of big prawns and scallops perfectly cooked in a delicate but flavourful sauce.

Paolo and the other waitress stopped by our table on several occasions to chat, as well as with other patrons at other tables. Paolo even helped us with some tips for the next leg of our hike. It was a lovely evening, and if we ever return to Salema, we will certainly stop by again for a meal.

Our usual restaurant on the beach was closed on Sunday - so we came here, and the food was excellent, lovely fish soup, very good and enormous prawn and avocado starter and perfectly grilled salmon, sardines and sea bass ( not over cooked) for main course. One of us ordered pasta with prawns, which again was very good. Another had perfectly cooked plump mussels.
Overall we were very impressed and look forward to our next visit!

Went without booking but were shown to a seat straight away. Be prepared for a wait as they were busy and only 2 staff out front, which didn't bother us. Food was lovely when it came and was worth the wait. Try it.

The prawn curry the best meal I've had in Salema! Not sure why there are such bad reviews on this restaurant....food brilliant & very friendly service. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is in a good location just behind the beach on the main street of Salema. Myself and my wife had a very nice meal here. I had a lovely vegetable soup to start followed by Golden Bream and a nice Tiramisu for desert. My wife had the fish soup, lamb chops and Chocolate fondant pudding. All the food was tasty and well presented. Service was friendly and although it was busy we got our meals in good time.

The restaurant is only small with tables very close together, which you may find cosy or uncomfortable depending on who is on your neighbouring table. I found there was a nice relaxed atmosphere and would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant. It’s not spectacular but is very pleasant.
