The hotel is really nice and it’s great having gym/snooker/table tennis as well as huge (50m?) Swimming pool.
However, we were not impressed with the flexibility at check in. We arrived at 11am and were told check in was at 3pm. We left our bags and came back at 2.45pm and asked if our room was available and it was an instant answer that check in was at 3pm. When we pushed and asked if our room was ready, it was so we got our keys just before 3pm so we at least skipped the queue.
This is probably not the receptionist’s fault as it felt like he was just implementing a policy but it felt rigid and inflexible.
If the room is still being cleaned, then I don’t expect the room early but if the room is available then I think check in should be allowed earlier. A simple phone call system could allow them to mark which rooms are ready.
Small changes on customer service could help this large & promising hotel score more highly. More
