We come here every year and every year the staff outdoes themselves. Craig the concierge is fantastic at his job, and knows how to get whatever you need, from dinner reservations to tickets. just ask. and he is always happy to talk with you. Kyle, the manager on duty while we were there, was very welcoming, and everyone we talked to at the front desk was helpful and friendly. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay special and I very much appreciated the effort. We will be back for sure.
If you are not from KC, the location is great, walking distance to alot of stuff, less than 20 min drive to even more. The views from the top floor are great. the restaurant has live music in the evenings.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have better views

I stayed at this hotel for a conference. I ended up getting a room on the 11th floor which has a lounge that served breakfast, drinks, dessert and had a business center. Craig Walter was the concierge and was very helpful and welcoming!

The restaurant in the lobby which also provides in room dining food was also very good. Their kitchen stays open and takes orders for room service until 3am! Prices are reasonable for the quality of food you get.

Samantha Froelich, catering sales manager at American Slang, helped me plan my friend’s bridal luncheon in their private dining room. I live in another city and she was so amazingly helpful in planning the event: Very timely to respond to my many questions and she had great suggestions. It helped every step of the way and made the event go off without a hitch. The food was delicious and the private dining room is bright, spacious and beautifully decorated. Run not walk here for a private event!!

I had the opportunity to stay 4 nights at this beautiful hotel during the DGM Conference.

Hotel room and amenities are good. Besides, the staff is superb from the check in and check out I had a pleasant experience with American Slang restaurant big up to Hicham and his crew for delivering a unique experience to their hosts.

The pros of this property are that it's- in a great location, very clean, had comfortable beds, and the room service was delicious. However, the big con - customer service at the front desk - is what makes my rating so (disappointingly) low. Our flight got into KC very early so we had requested an early check-in in advance ((understanding it likely wouldn't be possible as check-in was at 3pm), but we asked anyway just in case!). When we arrived at 9am the front desk attendant that met us all but laughed in our faces when we asked if there was any chance a room was available. He did not offer to hold our bags for us (but thankfully the concierge came over to offer!), and only reluctantly took my phone number when I requested he call me in the event a room became available in the next few hours. At 2pm I called to see if anything had opened up, and he said that a room was now ready and that we could come check-in at out leisure so we finished our lunch and headed back to the hotel. When we arrived back at 3:30pm we were informed "no rooms were ready" and we "could stop back to see if we could check-in within the next 2 hours" (5:30pm), despite being told an hour prior that our room was in fact ready. This lead to 20 minutes of discussion/requesting to speak to manager/etc. and ultimately resulted in us being given a lesser room type (as they were "unable to guarantee check-in prior to 5:30pm" and we were desperate to finally get in a room to change/shower/begin enjoying our trip!). When we received our bill upon check-out we were charged a HIGHER rate than what had been signed for. After another 20 minute call down to the front desk this was resolved (back to our original, higher rate, despite the lesser room type).
