We came from Oklahoma to see the Indigo girls. this was an awesome Venue. we had VIP tickets so we were very close to the stage. It was standing only but we knew that from the website. There is an air-conditioned VIP lounge, with seperate restrooms, limited picnic table seating, free bottled water.. The beer was cold. Everything was exactly as stated on the website. Note: There are stadium seating for a lower cost. the seats are on the side. They should really consider raising those a lot higher for a better view during a concert.

We took in a great concert by the Indigo Girls. Even though we had general admission tickets and had to stand the whole time, we had a great concert experience. We came early and stood quite close to the front of GA, but the people in the back still have a good view due to the slope of the space. It isn't a hillside, but it rises gently so that you can really see the stage from all over the venue. The crowd the night we were there was laid back, happy, kind, diverse... just a joy! Undoubtedly, that is in part because of the show we were watching! But, depending on the act that is on stage, I think this would be a very friendly and welcoming place to hear live music.

A couple of things to note: VIP ticks get you a place to eat and a better view up front. Bleacher tickets get you a seat, but they are on the side, so if an up close view is important you will want to stand up and go closer to the stage. Grinders is a fun place to eat pre show, but if you want to sit inside it is a first come first served sort of seat yourself experience, and it will be busy! Having said that, once we sat down service was great and food was super! And great prices! And you can get drinks outside in the concert venue throughout the show! (No food though, at least the night we were there.) Also, the night we went there were NO LAWN CHAIRS OR BLANKETS allowed! That was fine, because we knew in advance, but it apparently changes with each show. Check carefully online or with the box office to make sure!

We loved our experience at CrossroadsKC and will definitely be back! This is a gem of a venue in the heart of a fun city. Highly recommend it!

1st Friday is a local event in the Cross Roads Art District, historic 18th & Vine District, and the City Market and features live music, gourmet food trucks, shopping, and the art museums are open to the public. One food truck sales deep fried cheese cake and ice cream which is delicious!

Set in the Crossroads District, with a view to the South of Crown Center. The stage is at the bottom of a small hill, at the South end, with some bleachers on the side, and tables up top (outside of Grinders which is a festive place to eat!)

The VIP pass is the way to go, with parking on the West side, a special entrance to an air conditioned bar & lounge, that goes out to picnic table on the side of the stage and a fenced off area in front of the West side of the Stage!

This was my first time to see a concert at Crossroads KC Grinders. We saw the Rainmakers and it was amazing. The sound was great! There was plenty of room to bring your own lawn chairs. Short lines for the bathrooms and beers. Great outdoor venue.

Tip: I would not advise wearing heels or wedges as the wood chips are hard to walk on.
