This would not have been a bad deal for camping, since you normally spend your entire day outdoors. But since it was over 100 degrees we found ourselves inside alot. The lakeside cabins are small and dirty, and they are located right next to a "catch and release" pond that smells like feces. Tip 1: bring a mop or swifter wetjet to clean the floor and ant spray. Tip 2: you must bring all linens, towels, dish rags and hand towels.
Like I said, it wouldn't have been that bad if we could've spent more time outside
Enjoy!

We have stayed here twice. Once for 2 days in 2011 and it wasn't long enough, so we came this year for 3 days. We rented the scenic view cabins by the pond #701 & 702. We came here with my parents, my father who is elderly. He loves the cabin and the view! If you are 2 families, we recommend these cabins as they are facing each other with an adjoining sidewalk. There is a screened in porch with table and chairs, couch or futon, bar with stools, fridge, stove, small microwave, coffeepot, restroom, back bedroom (full bed, it is no too soft though if you have a bad back, closet space, and a loft with two full mattresses on the floor that is perfect for the kids. It is air conditioned, with ceiling fan. There is a small grill and a fire pit down the hill. Another plus is the water park literally across the street! The kids love it! There a certain days with specials. If your staying here you can get a 2 day,4 person pass for $69.00. If you go after 3:00 it is $10.00 a piece. Also 61 and older is $10.00 everyday. There is a campground pool that is free, also a play place in the camping area. If you want to be closer to the action stay at a cabin in the camper area, we like the quiet. There is a small store that has essentials (although no milk!!). You can also rent golf carts $50.00. My dad like to do this as he can't walk very far. We love this place and would recommend it to everyone! Oh and don't forget to bring everything as if you were camping! There is a detailed list on the site.

Room Tip: Be sure to bring sheets, pillows, towels, wood, etc...

This park is a great place for a family. In fact we met people that had come from several states for reunions. Fishing, a wonderful waterpark, crafts for kids and movie nights. The park has several types of cabins, condos and an RV park. Also a small resturant and general store, very nice we've stayed twice and are going again next month.

Traveled in a small motor home. Our site had not one tree for shade. Very hot! We paid "season rate". Very pricey. We knew the water park would not be opened. When we got ther we were told the pool is closed it needs a filter. Another attraction was closed because of vandalism. This was a 5 family reunion. Kids played ball in the unmowed grass near our sites for entertainment. The small cabins we rented were cute. Seemed okay. The large 2 bedroom cottage looked like a used FEMA trailer. Very disappointed and would not go there again or recommend to anyone.
