This was very last minute. We called the day before Labor Day weekend. We were originally going to camp in a tent, but the radar showed that rain was coming. We were able to get a cabin for one night. It worked out perfectly. There are only three cabins on site. They are cozy with multiple beds and a refrigerator, TV, and air conditioner. They also use heaters in the fall. The prices are reasonable and the owners are friendly. I would stay here again.

VERY RUDE MALE OWNER! I wish I would have spoke to the locals prior so I would have known about this guy(apparently we aren’t the only people who’s had an issue with the owner) so we would have known to stay elsewhere. The gentleman that owns the place was very rude to my dad because my dad didn’t see a “keep out”sign in the pool area. The bathrooms/showers were gross and creepy so my dad didn’t want to change in them and my uncle was in their cabin so he didn’t want to disturb him. I guess the owner saw my dad enter the operating area in the pool house that is for employees only (it’s the size of a shed) and he aggressively marched down to the pool area like he was going to fight my dad or something. Before he approached my dad, I tried to explain what he was doing the the angry owner but he didn’t even glance at me and went to the door of the building and shouted at my dad as he was naked about the keep out sign (he could have waited and said for future reference..etc). We felt very uncomfortable...Because my dad just checked in within the hour he tried to get his money back for the two days he prepaid for so he could leave and the owner said he doesn’t do refunds but he’s welcome to leave at any time. So after that I tried to make the stay with my 3 year old as fun as possible but to be honest the owner watched me and my daughter from his porch every time we tried swimming and I felt like i was walking on eggshells there. The owners wife was decent but that did not make up for the behavior of the creepy aggressive man. Also- the pool was not very maintained until the end of our stay. I guess because they saw me using the cleaning tool in it because my toddler was scared of all the bugs in the water. I also fished out a dead lizard .....

I stayed here for about six months, as I was working in the area. The owners (Gregg and Emily) are great, and the park very well maintained. There is a small spring-fed creek in the back of the park, full of fish. It's quiet (even on the weekends), and the local Piedmont crowd very nice. A must-stay if you are visiting Piedmont and/or visiting Clearwater Lake. The WiFi is a little peek-ed, but does work if you are near the office.

Room tip: Get a space near the office for good WiFi.

Family and I rented 2 "sleeper" cabin for the weekend. They were so cute and cozy! A small heater was provided in the office. The cabins were nestled under some of the tallest pine trees, perfect rustic atmosphere. The cabin had a double bed next to bunk beds, a small refrigerator and a small tv with cable. There was also on site laundry facilities and 2 video games (Galaga and Ms Pacman) which the adults and kids all had fun with. The owner was awesome! So polite and accommodating! Can't wait to return in the summer to enjoy the pool, tether ball and basketball. Perfect Getaway just a few minutes from Clearwater Lake.
