This hotel has been around forever and has always been one of THE places to stay in St. Louis. Had not been there in awhile and found our room (849) to be in need of restoration. I understand they are working on that. I believe a recent event has been the purchase of the Chase by The Sonesta corporation. The amenities appear to be from that corporation. The lotion was watery but the shampoo and bath gel were fine. The beds and linens were first rate. Very small bathroom but clean.
The hotel has a couple of restaurants and the food was very acceptable.
A nice feature of this hotel is a theater with 4 or 5 screens. Very handy. First run movies.
Our room rate included access to the Club on the 9th floor. Very relaxing. The only thing was their snacks didn't come out until 5 p,m, Coffee and water were always available.
Security was good. Your room "key" was required to use the elevator to go up but not down.More
