My family was going to do the Gateway Arch Riverboat cruise, but it was canceled due to river flooding. However, that allowed us to go and see the Inside the Economy museum. You have to go through airport-like security to get in (since it's in the Federal Reserve building) and the guards were friendly. Once you get passed security some friendly people from the museum will turn on the short video for you (like 5 mins) and then you are free to go at your pace through the museum. There are many interactive exhibits throughout the museum and you can learn a lot about how our economy works. We went during the week at about 10am and they were busy at all. Although I think it's geared more towards kids, adults can learn a lot from this as well. There is a free bag of shredded money in the gift shop plus a cube of 1 million $1 bills that you can take your picture with. If you are in the St. Louis area and need to burn some time I would suggest you go and see this.
