From the moment we pulled in front of the Hilton we were well taken care of .Upon entering the hotel we were welcomed by all staff members offering to help in any way we checked in immediately due to plenty of staff at the front desk and once inside the room we could see that the view was breathtaking!

+ nice location
+ some of the staff at the breakfast is really nice
+ fresh fruit at breakfast (tasty raspberries, yummy)

Neutral: some staff are very attentive at breakfast, some forget half of the order and the drinks. So it really depends on the waiter.

- Some of the fruit were put in some acid, the poor mangos do not even taste like mango anymore. The potatoes were the worst I have seen in about 30 Hiltons - probably precooked in too much oil and then reheated in the microwave.
- pretty loud place overall - when somebody uses the water above you or closes a door, you most probably will not sleep any more. You can hear people talking outside like they are sitting right next to you.
- Aircon does not work that well (it does neither keep the low nor the high temperatures)
- Housekeeping did not come at all even though we had no do not disturb sign on. When we called at 6pm, they said they would send someone. We called again at 7pm. When still no one had come at 9 pm, we gave up and went downstairs ourselves to get fresh towels. (Understaffed reception - there was only one person working and a big line waiting)
- There was some really gross stuff washed up from the drainage into the bathtub. I regret putting my hand in there to get the plug out entirely… (which did not help. we had to get an engineer and shower somewhere else)
- We had to ask them to fill up some of the stuff at the breakfast buffet, I do expect a Hilton to fill up
- As we were out of trust with the service here and a little pressed on time, we wanted to get a luggage cart ourselves, finish the last packing and leave. We were not allowed to take one and had to get down our luggage without a cart.

My one night stay at this Hilton for business was perfect. My room was good size, the beds are very comfortable and the carpeting and furnishings are near new, well-maintained and spotless. Wi-fi was flawless and fast. The hospitality shown by the staff throughout my stay was excellent; check-in was a breeze, and several times I was approached by hotel staff to ask if they could help. Thank you Hilton!

Strongly recommend this hotel. Very clean hotel; rooms and all other areas. Staff was very professional and friendly. I felt welcomed and important. Hilton will never let you down. Customer service is truly important and number one to this particular hotel. I don't see anyone leaving dissapointed.

The good- Loved the rooftop 360 area. Pretty fun for a date night. Drinks were moderately priced. Pretty hip decor. Didn't eat there but they do have some food. Located very close to the Old Court House and the Arch. Walking distance about 2/3 blocks. Valet and Bellmen very attentive and helpful. Indoor pool a plus for little ones on a cold day. Continental breakfast (HHonors Gold member) was very good. Wait staff very attentive. East Tower great view of the Arch.

The bad- Rooms are not roomy. Just enough room for the bed(s) and a tiny sitting area. Our room was not very clean. Opened the window to see the Arch and the window was super dirty. Someone's small child had their way with greasy paws all over the window. No big deal I cleaned it the best I could. White towel turned completely black. YUCK. Reached for the in-room St. Louis magazine and it was sticky. Also, YUCK. Service was not stellar. I felt bad for asking for anything extra or bringing attention to any issue. I only discovered that I was eligible for the Executive Lounge Breakfast on my last day. Had to go back to the front desk to get "rekeyed" for access (assistant general manager was very helpful in this area). Would have been nice to know prior to spending a small fortune on breakfast the day before in their Starbucks. Housekeeping Day1? Replaced towels but didn't make up the beds. Odd. Housekeeping 3 hours before checkout, do you need anything? Um no. Requested a late check-out and that did not stop a young man from attempting to enter the room well before our negotiated exit time. Weird. We weren't fully clothed and still in bed.

Worth noting- Ice machines are not on every floor. I think only 9 & 11 in the East tower. Valet is $40 a night. Self-Park with in & out privileges is $27. Or park it yourself, don't leave and it is a flat $20. We weren't impressed with valet. You drop off in one area (closest to the front entrance) only to have to retrieve your car from a separate entrance on the OTHER side of the hotel. Attempted to print boarding passes from 3 different computers in the lobby but none of them would connect to Southwest. Strange. Area food offerings are slim at best. Ordered Papa John's out of desperation once we realized room service was over at 11.
