After staying at Home2Suites in Whitestown, IN, we looked for another location on our way back home. We were not disappointed. This location is a little bit older and the doors are a bit thinner but it had all of the same great amenities of the Home2Suites in Whitestown. Fitness center, exercise facilities, self-serve washer/dryer, indoor pool, and a good breakfast. Great sleep. Rooms are really cold which was nice for a summer day.
When we first packed our things, it was our intent to come back and get the rest. There was a housekeeping employee lingering in the hall but we didn't think anything of it. Once we got back up to retrieve the rest, we noticed a smell of warmed pizza in the room (our leftovers.) After investigating we found the housekeeper went in our room that we hadn't checked out of yet and warmed our leftovers and took the rest and a gallon of tea. I'm sure glad that's all we left in the room! The adjoining room our friends were in had a terrible ant infestation and had to put soap in the windowsill to prevent from getting anymore in the bed. When my wife was waiting in the lobby, she heard staff making commentary about an employee being late because a relative had died. Worst hotel experience ever! Was told a manager would be calling but it's been around a month and no resolve!
I stayed at this hotel with my wife and 3 kids (two teens and a tween). Room was very large and clean with adequate sleeping space for the 5 of us. We arrived around 10:00 pm and left by 8:00 am so didn’t spend a lot of time awake there, but the beds were comfortable so I made the most of my time there.
The complimentary breakfast was one of the better breakfasts I have had at a hotel. There were plenty of choices, and the staff there made sure to keep food fresh, the tables clean, and made sure we were able to find what we were looking for.
I was surprised to see reviews for this hotel dated back to 2018 because based on the appearance (maintenance, cleaning, grounds) I would have thought this was a brand new hotel.
Don’t plan to stay in Springfield again but if I do, I will stay here again.
Great dog walking! Clean. Friendly. Cleaning staff helped us get in our room when we left our key in the truck. We had our hands full with luggage and our dog. They were very helpful! Cant beat this place if you have a dog! Just wish more people would pick up after their dog when they have made such nice walking grounds!
If you like being called a the black word ( n word) wanna be in the morning at breakfast by the lady in the kitchen. This is the spot for you. No manager on duty to complain to so this lady will do and say whatever. Go to tru hotel do not and I mean do not stay at this racist place
