A memorial experience

I stayed at the hotel due to work and I was there for a few weeks, the bartender Candice was a absolute delight who made me feel at home, one night I ordered the most amazing pulled pork sandwich and I had mentioned this to Candice, she went out of the way to tell the chef what I said, and the chef Chad came out and explained why the food was so good. It’s because Chad doesn’t cook for a pay check, he cooks with love

Loved it!

We loved our stay stay the University Plaza in Springfield, MO! Super, friendly, super clean, amazing amenities, close to everything! The coffee was great, laundry super simple, drinks were good, on site restaurant was so yummy!

Disappointed / Poor customer service

We have stayed here twice before with great satisfaction. Not this time. Rude service at front desk.
We were quoted $185 + tax for a room. When I replied that reservations on line were $119 + tax she said that takes 10 minutes to 1 hour to go through and they do not price match. We stepped away and booked on line with an instant reservation confirmation. We returned to front desk to check in and were again
treated rudely by the same person. No information at all offered regarding breakfast or checkout time, etc.
Customer service apparently not important.
The staff at the breakfast buffet were very friendly &
efficient, much appreciated. I do not plan on future stays with a hotel that charges more ($65+) at the front desk vs on line.

Okay hotel

It’s Dec 2022 and they still haven’t put alarm clocks back in the rooms. They blame it on Covid! You touch so much in the rooms. Tv and phone and beds are still in there. You do not have to wear a mask in the hotel. Night time night staff were a little snotty though. On a positive note, it is a clean hotel. Jordan who works at the cafe is super nice! He has a positive attitude! Christian, the van drive was super nice too!

Rooms need updating badly, overall ok

We stayed here for here for 5 nights for a conference. The hotel itself is nice, well decorated and clean. All of the employees we interacted with were nice and helpful.

The rooms themselves need some serious updating. Filthy carpet, mildewed tub caulking, mildew on ceiling, dripping faucet, awful musty smell, broken lamp, torn lampshade, and chunks out of the wooden door.
With a lot of tlc, this place could be very nice again. The breakfast was good and hot on Sunday morning. When we ate there again this morning, all of the food was super cold.

Room tip: Wear shoes in the room
