The restaurant must be at least 6 miles off Highway 93, it is not unreasonable to call it the middle of nowhere. We visited on a Sunday evening and were amazed to see a table of 10 and a table of 8. The food is remarkably good and offers real value for money. Starters of mushrooms in a hot sauce and steamed artichoke were fine but the real highlight was the main courses. Our party of three enjoyed Alaskan salmon, beef filet and prime rib. A choice of rice or baked potato is included in the price as is a visit to a really fresh salad bar. The service was friendly and the atmosphere is homely. This is unpretentious good cooking. It is certainly worth the detour!More
