“I want the recipe for the german potato salad!”

We stopped at this cute little cafe in Guttenberg and I'm so happy we did. There are around 8 tables but they will ask for parties to share if they have open seats and are willing. We found that fun, others could just say no thanks if they didn't want to. The german potato salad is fabulous with bacon and just a taste of tartness. Desserts were excellent - choice of around 10 types of pie plus a vanilla tart. Prices very reasonable - our bill was around $12 each for a drink, lunch and dessert. Set in a historic building along the river with old beams etc. They have some gift items, food and wine for sale too. Busy (1) waitress who was pleasant as could be and kept our coffee cups full. Closed Sundays and Tuesdays.

We ate here on an early Sunday morning. Even though they had breakfast buffet going on, we could order anything we wanted off their rather extensive menu! One whole page was dedicated just to sandwiches (burgers were on another page). Had plenty of options for breakfast and dinner also, not to mention fresh-baked pies and rolls. The Turkey Spinach Artichoke Melt that I had was scrumptious! Waitresses all had smiles on, and ours was friendly and did a great job. Can't wait to return :)

Hubby and I stopped in for breakfast as we traveled through Columbus on our Nebraska Passport adventure. Great little restaurant in the downtown area, super service, food was great! Terrific way to start off the day - wait staff was incredibly cheerful, they worked together like a well oiled machine - and when it got busy (which it did!) they handled the crowd with ease. Loved it! Thanks for a great breakfast!

This place is set downtown and is my favorite place for some quiet conversation and some pie. The service is friendly and it's just cute with good food.
