We just came back from the Mango Farm at the Daly River and it was superb.

We had a couple of lovely shady powered spots with a decent campfire in front.

The toilets were spotless and the grounds are well maintained.

The young fellah even caught his first barra.

Would go back or rather, will be going back! Only a couple of hours plus from Darwin.

Get yourself down there folks.

The Daly River Mango Farm (Barra Station) is directly opposite the Daly river 2 h 57 min (229.9 km) from Darwin & about 80K's up river from the Gulf coast the owner Shane also is a pretty good fishing guide who really knows the river. The accommodation is from an unpowered site to air conditioned cabins/appartments made from shipping containers so its up to you what sort of comfort you want after a days awesome fishing on the famous Barra rich Daly river, it's a trip of a lifetime with all the wildlife to go with a the top end including huge crocs, sharks, snakes & of course cane toads. If you really want an adventure have a very quick beer at the Daly River pub, its a step back in time.

Room Tip: Ask for pictures & a list of feature that include air con.

Management response:Responded 28 September 2017

Hi Thanks for your review, however you didn't stay at the Daly River Mango Farm, you stayed at the Daly River Barra Resort (on the other side of the river) with Stu and Marnie. I have passed on your review to them.

Stayed in the cabins there. They were clean and shower was good. The amenities were clean. They were packing up for the wet season so the bar was closed.

It takes a seasoned driver to back the boats down to the river and if you need 2 lanes this is not the ramp for you.

Shane and Margie were excellent hosts and looked after us.

Will come back again.

What a great little getaway on a working mango farm! We stayed for 2 nights in the family cabin. Room had A/C, BBQ outside, small fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster - great for self catering. Dining table and chairs in the room, beds were very generous and comfortable. Highly recommend this place for a family friendly getaway.

Inviting pool and awesome communal kitchen for those camping. Laundry facilities available and ablution block very clean, tidy and roomy. Access to the river and pontoon to tie the boat up to was perfect.

Amazed at how the place has recovered since the flood at Christmas and very little evidence of the significant damage the park would have received. Beautiful shaded area ideal for kids to ride bikes and play. Thank you to our hosts Margie, Shane and Leigh.

Room Tip: Family Cabin/Cabin is right on the river with gorgeous views.
