We ate here after touring the Lamoille Canyon area after work. The place seems rather small at first but it gets bigger as you get past the bar. Although this restaurant may not be for everyone, it is a haven for carnivores and hunters. The decor is quite eclectic and typical of any hunting lodge with taxidermy all over the walls. If dead animals on the wall make you squeamish, this place is not for you. As an Alaskan, the animals don't bother me. I was particularly fond of the diorama of taxidermy that was displayed next to our private booth.

The food is a little pricey, but it is really good food. It took us at least an hour and a half, to finish dinner however; the food was very good, the service was polite, friendly, and very accommodating so the food was worth the wait. The only complaint I have is that the food was so good that I over ate and they did not provide wheelbarrow service even though the waiter insisted it was available.

Seriously though, the waiter and busser were very friendly and had great personalities, the food was very good, and I would definitely recommend eating there as well as eating there again the next time I'm in the area.

This is a good restaurant located out in beautiful Lamoille. The food is good and the staff is friendly. It is a bit understaffed to serve many people. Has a nice atmosphere!

We ate at Pine Lodge last week when we were in Elko for Cowboy Poetry. We'd eaten there in the past and enjoyed it just as much this time. The food and service were great and the drive from Elko is a treat. We'll be eating there again next year when we're in Elko.

A word of caution, it's a 25 minute (maybe +) drive from Elko and if you're in a bit of a hurry, as we were, it can make for a hurried trip. But, it's a great break from the very usual places in Elko. Do give it a try.

Dinner for the eight people in our party was a disaster. Had 6:00pm reservations - we were seated closer to 7:30pm. The menu was an ambitious selection of pastas, seafood, fish, and meats. Our very nice server was running full tilt to take our orders for food and drink. Our food was delayed with an apology from the server that the kitchen was "backed-up". This was an understatement. When the food arrived it was Luke-warm to flat out cold. One in our party ordered a dish with a rice or risotto as a side and his entire order was very cold. This was the case in 5 out of 8 dishes. We should have sent the meals back, but having waited so long to be seated and so long for the food we concluded we had better eat what we could and get out. We have dined here in the past and have not experienced any of the problems of this unfortunate night. What a shame.

My husband and I have lived in quite a few different places and have eaten at many different restaurants. This was definitely one of our top 3 favorite places to eat. Not only was the food AMAZING, but the atmosphere was also great! The tables are separated in a way that makes you feel like you are the only people there. You can't hear anyone else around you. The decor is great and fun to look at. Everything is home made. Best of all, the veggies do not appear to be canned, as most of the vegetable sides are in restaurants in this town. The waitress was very good. Attentive, but she didn't make it feel like she was always there. The prices were very comparable to other nice restaurants. It is very unlikely that we will be going to any restaurant in this town other than the Pine Lodge from now on.
