We ate here after touring the Lamoille Canyon area after work. The place seems rather small at first but it gets bigger as you get past the bar. Although this restaurant may not be for everyone, it is a haven for carnivores and hunters. The decor is quite eclectic and typical of any hunting lodge with taxidermy all over the walls. If dead animals on the wall make you squeamish, this place is not for you. As an Alaskan, the animals don't bother me. I was particularly fond of the diorama of taxidermy that was displayed next to our private booth.
The food is a little pricey, but it is really good food. It took us at least an hour and a half, to finish dinner however; the food was very good, the service was polite, friendly, and very accommodating so the food was worth the wait. The only complaint I have is that the food was so good that I over ate and they did not provide wheelbarrow service even though the waiter insisted it was available.
Seriously though, the waiter and busser were very friendly and had great personalities, the food was very good, and I would definitely recommend eating there as well as eating there again the next time I'm in the area.
