My Husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night and it we were very suprised and pleased. The food was very good and they have exceptional service. We dined at the Courtyard Buffet for breakfast and it was Great. There were many selections to choose from as well as great service by all the Staff. We had dinner at an asian restuarant called Naga and it was also good. This hotel is near the end of the strip and there are alot of cheap motels that make the location of it not so good. We did not go walking anywhere at night to say the least.

We paid $170 including tax, etc. for a Saturday night in mid-May. Booked tickets through Expedia, and received 2 free tickets for a Stratosphere show, "American Superstars," which was fairly weak. Hotel feels old, and has Motel-8 feel. Our bathroom and vanity mirror lights did not work. We had to reset a button on the outlet to get them to turn on. It's nice to be on the strip, but I wouldn't pay more than $100 per night for this hotel.

My fiancé and I just returned from Las Vegas (May 4-8th) and we stayed at the Stratosphere Hotel and we had a great time the moment we checked in.

If you're a first time visitor to the hotel, make sure to mention that because for newcomers, they offer special discounts and upgrades. For $20 more, we were upgraded from a standard room to a honeymoon suite which was gorgeous. It included living room with sofa, 2 t.v sets, spacious bathroom, huge bed and most importantly, a jacuzzi in the middle of the room.

The hotel has great looking pools and outdoor jacuzzi in the 8th floor along with both an inside and outside gym available to customers. I also highly recommend a perfect Italian restaurant in the hotel itself called Fellini's. Of course, no Vegas vacation is complete without touring the entire strip but if you wish to just lounge in the hotel, Stratosphere has everything you can want in regards to gambling and other fun activities.

The only drawback I would mention about the hotel would be the location itself. It's located at the end of the strip but that was easily resolved for us by taking a bus ride referred to as The Deuce. $2 for one way ride or $5 for an all day pass. I would also recommend renting a car, which we did and on nights that we stayed out late, we parked in the free garages in other hotels and then walked around the strip.

Stayed 1 night on a special deal (£22) available via expedia.
Hotel at the northern end of the strip.
Hotel reception not well signposted. Room size and beds adequate but lacks in-room safe, limited TV channels and ceiling lighting precariously mounted onto ceiling wall which could be very dangerous for families with young children. Free access to the tower observation deck for people who live in the hotel between 10am and 2pm. Otherwise costs $10.00 for hotel guests and $13.00 for walk in customers. Once you get up there, great views of LV. You can also watch the 3 rides at the top, I've tried the big shot before which was bearable, however the X-extreme looked really scary especially when propelled to over the edge of the tower looking straight down onto the strip. Only advisable for those without heart conditions to say the least. Unfortunately the limited time that I had didn't give my a chance to get on. The other ride "insanity" wasn't running whilst I was up there, but looked dangerous when spinning you at a 70 degree angle perched over the tower edge..........................
