If you’re looking for a fun, family friendly experience for very little money, check out the Nathan Burton Magic Show. His afternoon show in the Saxe Theater at the Miracle Mile Shoppes (free parking too) provides a close up magic show experience you won’t get with David Copperfield or Penn and Teller, at a fraction of the cost! We were 2 rows from the stage, and still couldn’t figure out how he did it!
He made about 6 showgirls disappear in the first few minutes! His illusions are the same as the big name, large stage productions, but performed in a small venue and the pace is fast and funny. Along with the amazing large scale illusions he also does card tricks and gets the kids involved. He chooses a child from the audience, and levitates him on stage, no covers or screens, just out there in the open! He does the usual straight jacket escape, but with a clear straight jacket, again right out in the open.
Can’t understand any negative reviews for this show. We'd like to see the naysayers tell us how he does it, or perform it themselves! The show moves along so much faster and on a much smaller stage than the more expensive ones, which also adds to the wow factor.
He gets his family involved, including his mother and 2 year old son, and is right out there signing pictures and autographs after the show. There was even an offer for a hypnotist show for only $10 later in the evening as an option. What a value!
We didn’t expect to be so blown away by this show. We saw two other shows while we were in Vegas, for more money that weren’t half as good as this one. Our advice is to get tickets close to the stage, and be prepared to be amazed!
