This hotel has great deals. If you need a deal, this is the hotel we recommend. This is one hotel where they have a ton of casual restaurants so you don't have to go far to eat. ESPN Zone, Chin Chin, slices of pizza, Nine Fine Irishmen Pub, Gonzalez y Gonzalez, Nathan's Hot Dogs, TCBY, etc. etc. etc. Probably great if you have kids with the Coney Island casino and roller coaster as well as easily obtained cheap eats. Our room was very pretty and not noisy as a lot of people say. Our room was not near the roller coaster. You have pedestrian bridges to MGM and to Excalibur, with a free tram to Luxor and Mandalay Bay. The casino has a lot of Wheel of Fortune slots, which are the most fun. Recommend.

My husband and I stayed here with our two teenage daughters (18 & 15) for three nights and I was horrified at the sights. New York New York itself was okay. We stayed in the broadway deluxe rooms on the 18th floor in the Century building. The bathroom was outdated and had mold in the shower. The beds were okay, not great. The roller coaster was right outside our window and you could hear everything. There was a helicopter landing site close by too so you could hear those flying over all evening. We were probably the only family running for the safety of our hotel at sunset. The pool was small and closed at 7pm. Don't fall for the "great prices" the hotels charge you $30 extra for each child and then resort fees of $15 a day on top of the tax. It's not a great deal. The streets are loaded with people giving out cards with naked girls on them and they are littered all over the street. There are scantly dressed women everywhere. The hotel is VERY smokey and alcohol is everywhere with people falling all over themselves. All of the casino's are very confusing with poor directions to get places. They make you walk through the casio floor to get anywhere. We did see Mac King the magician at Harrah's (day show) and he was wonderful. We also saw Viva Elvis at the Aria and that was great as well. Everything was overpriced. We traveled to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon and I would recommend those places over Las Vegas anyday. I have no desire to return.

My wife and I stayed at the New York New York from July 18th-23rd. We had a Spa Suite which we found to be extremely nice........ Check-In , as others have stated, was long, but once we got to the front of the line was quick and painless..... My only concern regarding check-in was that it was never explained to us about the resort fee and what you got for the $ 12.95/ night.... Found out three days into our stay that we were supposed to receive two bottles of water/ day and a daily newspaper.... Also was never told that if you shop at Soho Village , you get 20% your purchases.... A kind lady that works there told us after we had already spent close to $200.00 the day before.... Oh well no big deal...... Pool wasn't as bad as others have stated in our opinion..... Restaurants were ok and the cleaning staff was excellent.... We will be staying there next year!!!!!!

Westayed at NY NY for 2 nigths in July.
The room was a decent size, no complaints.
During our stay the roller coaster didn't go on past mid night.
The hotel is located at the begining of The Strip so it's a fair walk to where all the action is (ie. Bellagio fountains, Treasure Island, Forum shops)
As we checked out, we left something in the room & housekeeping did everything they can to get it back to us.
There's internet in the room which is included in the Resort Fee charged upon check in.

we stay at NY NY a couple of times a year, it is making efforts to become a bit hipper! but it has all that we need close to the freeway for Shopping sprees and totally manageable in size. Avoid the 17th floor if possible ( simply because it was one floor short of the express elevator) and the last stop...many stops up and down...
