Visited this beautiful park for the Balloon Races. What a great place! Tucked amid neighborhoods and near the University, it was great for the event. I am sure it is also a great place for the whole community.

We visited again Rancho San Rafael Regional Park. This time we visited the picnic areas, the arboretum, and the labyrinth garden. We did not visit this type the May Museum, which is one of my favorite museums in Reno.

Overall, the park is very nice.

Ranco San Rafael Park is well done and laid-out. It is a beautiful park area for visitors, for walking about in the gardens, and a great place to see a bit of Nevada history. The Wilbur D. May Center often has great exhibits and informative displays.

I visited the botanical garden which has a very large collection of oak trees and many paths good for walking. The dry landscape garden is large and gives a good idea of what plants grow well in this climate. Nearby is the wonderful Willard May Museum.
