I was surprised how quiet and serene this park is. There are trails running throughout with a wonderful view of Downtown Reno and the Sierra Nevada mountains beyond. The park was a quite large and never crowded - except during the annual balloon races --
The bathrooms are clean and easily accessed. There is a spacious dog park adjacent to the walking section of the park. The parking is adequate. I have not seen homeless people or scary individuals on the four times I have visited. This may be due to the proximity to residential areas as well as good patrolling of the area by park security. It's a great place to learn about various flora and fauna. A wonderful place to have a picnic without being bothered by others' noise, music, etc.
