We stayed in the Kearsarge cabin before our 3-day hike on the AT across the Presidential Range, and then again on the return night. Reception was friendly and helpful. The main house/office/lodge/breakfast area was very nice >> great artwork and atmosphere. Cabin was cozy but on the small side. Bed was comfortable. Wifi was good. TV was small but we don't watch much anyway. No fridge, no microwave, no coffeemaker. Heat had not yet been turned on, so we bundled up in bed (it was chilly that week!). Bathroom and shower were small and it took a while for the hot water to get warm, but things were adequate. The home-cooked breakfast was very good and served with a smile. Not luxury accommodations, but the price, location, convenience, and breakfast worked very well for us! Great restaurant (Cabin Fever) for dinner within a half-mile.

On arrival was slightly disappointed in size of room(cottage) but it was clean and adequate.
The cooked breakfast next morning was more than adequate and the hospitality from the hosts excellent.
Great value for money.

Our cottage was very clean, very well maintained and cute and cozy. The breakfast was perfect size for me but if my husband had come he would have wanted more. It was 2 eggs, choice of toast and sausage or bacon. New owners as of June 2017 and I'd like to say they're doing great, very very pleasant people to deal with!

We've stayed here before, but the property is under new ownership and I thought I would share some things to be aware of and that could be improved upon. While this may seem a bit nit picky, little things add up.

1. The Crawford suite is beautiful, but the last time we stayed in this room there must have been no one upstairs. Well, this time there was, and when they walk around you hear every creak in the floor above you. It's something to be aware of; bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper or avoid this room all together if this would bother you. It's a shame, because this is among the most expensive room. We loved the comfortable beds and the great shower.
2. The property has a hot tub, but it is not open in the summer. We could have used it when we were there as it was very cool out. The White Mountains are known for their cool weather, so why not keep it open? The amenity is advertised in their website and on the sign by the road.
3. As noted prior, the breakfast is small, and will only satisfy small appetites. Seconds are not offered (to my knowledge). However, please don't change to a buffet as I do like the personal service. And please, offer cream for the coffee; not everyone likes milk and let's face it; it tastes different. There's also no coffee pot in the room; it would be nice to have a hot drink prior to coming to breakfast.

Bartlett Inn was convenient, to many area places. With North Conway only minutes away. And close to hiking, skiing, and lots of other things to do. And offering in house breakfast everyday was a nice feature we took advantage of. A great set up with choices of stay from rooms to cabins, giving you options for a couple, or a family.
